Habitat for Knowledge
Inspired by nature
Driven by sustainability
Who we are
Habitat for Knowledge focuses on empowering organisations, communities and individuals to be more sustainable and nature positive.
We deliver practical education and action-oriented training in various topics including biodiversity, sustainability, climate action and the circular economy.
Our mission is to equip participants with the tools and knowledge they need to drive meaningful environmental change and build a more resilient, sustainable future.
The extensive understanding of Ireland’s natural landscape that we bring to the table is further developed through the range of ecological surveys we carry out nationwide.
What We Offer
Biodiversity Programmes
Discover the challenges and opportunities facing Ireland’s habitats through place-base experiential learning.
Explore the wide range of ecosystems around us, from woodlands, grasslands and bogs, to coasts, rivers and lakes. Our relationship with the landscape is evolving, and it’s more important that we learn how to make the most of nature-based solutions to allow both the environment and communities to thrive.
Sustainability Courses
Our sustainability programmes equip participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to drive real meaningful change in their workplace, home and communities.
We empower you and your team to make sustainability a force for good. Whether to give you the competitive edge you need, increase energy efficiency or simply lead a greener, cleaner lifestyle.
Ecological Surveys
From habitat surveys to Biodiversity Action Plans, we conduct the environmental monitoring you need to ensure compliance, biodiversity improvement and community support.
Backed by a wealth of knowledge, we are committed to providing in-depth surveys and detailed reports for county councils, community groups and environmental consulting companies.

— Liz McCarron, Senior Supply Chain Manager, Phillips-Medisize“Yosef guided us practically, helping us to plant over 100 metres of native hedgerow, a mini orchard with native trees, a wild meadow and fruit bushes. In addition, Yosef connected with the national school and delivered a number of hands-on workshops.
He is warm, full of energy and drive and has a wonderful ‘can do’ attitude which is essential when working on local biodiversity projects”
